"Simply Sue"
This old-time Sue is a classic and has been charming us for generations with her little, chunky figure and her winning ways.
You can make this quilt as simple or as complex as you like.
I love embroidery, so I embellished the blocks with stitches: lazy daisy, stem stitch, running stitch, satin stich and French knot.
You could use fussy cut flowers or ribbon embroidery for the smaller details in each block just as well. Paint works well for details too.
I like the pastel colors for this one and it's a great one for spring and summer sewing. I try to get ahead of the seasons, but mostly, I like to sew for Christmas, at Christmas; for Halloween, the week before. I just can't help myself!
This quilt was quilted by Shelley Sieverkropp of Wheatridge Studios, Wilbur, WA.
